Catherine is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner and Florida native who relocated to Las Vegas due to a military family transfer in 2013. The Urology specialty intrigues her because through both surgery and medical management Urologists can resolve integral issues of the Genitourinary system that greatly impact the quality of life of their patients. She specializes in Urology in the acute hospitals focusing on the Northwest and Central Las Vegas areas. Prior to becoming a Urology NP she spent many years working as a Nephrology NP in all Las Vegas acute hospitals. Providing care to patients with kidney disease, acute kidney injuries, hydronephrosis, urinary retention, renal cysts and masses, kidney stones, hematuria, BPH, Prostate Cancer, pyelonephritis, cystitis, severe electrolyte abnormalities, fluid volume management, anemia, dialysis, kidney transplantation, Renal Cell Carcinoma, Bladder Cancer, suprapubic catheters, and hypertension.
Catherine also has many years of experience in Internal Medicine managing general primary care for patients admitted to rehabilitation centers and skilled nursing facilities. In the outpatient setting Catherine has owned a Family Medicine concierge practice that provided care to both children and adults across the valley. Catherine has also had the privilege of working as a Burn Unit NP at UMC Hospital providing care to critical level burn victims.
In addition to caring for patients, Catherine has a passion for education and was a Clinical Nursing Instructor for Chamberlain University. She also supports research driven medicine and has been a Sub-Investigator on countless groundbreaking studies. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she spent many years as a Critical Care Registered Nurse caring for complex patients.
